To provide our service while maintaining your privacy, we distinguish between data we collect and data we protect through hashing:

  • Hashed Financial Data: We do not store your raw financial transaction details, account numbers, or balances in a readable format. Instead, we use a one-way cryptographic process to convert this information into hashes. Purpose: These hashes act as unique "digital fingerprints" that allow us to identify and prevent duplicate entries in your spreadsheets without ever possessing the original, readable financial data on our servers. Limitation: Because hashing is a one-way function, we cannot "reverse" these hashes to view your original financial records.

  • Account Information: We collect minimal personal data, such as your email address and name, to manage your beta account and provide support. Usage Metadata: We may store non-identifiable logs (e.g., timestamps of successful transfers, error codes) to improve service reliability.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: Facilitating the secure transfer of data from your trading platforms to your destination sheets.

  • Product Improvement: Using hashed data and usage logs to identify bugs, optimize performance, and improve the "Trades to Sheets" experience.

  • User Support: Communicating with you regarding your account or responding to technical inquiries.

No-Resell Guarantee

We will never sell, rent, or trade your data—hashed or otherwise—to third parties. Your data is used exclusively to provide and improve the "Trades to Sheets" service.

Data Security

  • Hashing: By storing only the hashes of financial data, we ensure that even in the event of unauthorized access to our database, your raw financial records remain unreadable.
  • Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your trading platform, our servers, and the Google Sheets Add-on is protected using Transport Layer Security (TLS). Additionally, sensitive financial data payload is further secured during transit using AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption to ensure end-to-end confidentiality.
  • Encryption Sensitive Information: We employ strong, field-level encryption for highly sensitive information. Access tokens and refresh tokens for both source platforms and destination sheets are protected using Authenticated Encryption (Fernet/AES). This ensures that sensitive credentials cannot be accessed in plaintext even by authorized database administrators or in the event of unauthorized database access.
  • Access Control: Access to our internal systems is strictly controlled and limited to authorized personnel only.

Data Retention and Your Rights

  • Retention: We retain your account information and hashed data only as long as your account is active.

  • Account Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account at any time. Upon deletion, all associated personal information and hashed data will be permanently removed from our active systems.
